Digitization is often a journey where you may not always have a clearly defined path to your destination.

And that’s OK.

What really matters is knowing where you want to go, forming new partnerships to guide you, and considering important opportunities along the journey.

John Church, former Chief Supply Chain and Business Solutions Officer at General Mills, firmly believes in the digitization journey. Digitizing operations is critical in tackling today’s dairy supply chain challenges and being ready to pivot without disruption in a continuously changing industry.

As a supply chain and ESG innovator, John will share his insights and offer advice during his session at the DairyTech Conference, May 17-18, in Minneapolis, MN.

“I believe the beauty of digitization is that it solves problem after problem in individual use cases that can have benefits regardless of whether you know where you’re going,” John said.

Whether it’s the first, second, third, fourth, or even fifth step down the digitizing journey, John emphasizes that each step towards innovation and digitization is critical in capturing valuable data throughout the entire value chain.

“The tools and innovation are out there today. Getting started and finding the tools to help you become more productive and successful is important. Eventually, you will find your way into innovation that enables tracking ESG and ultimately distilling a complicated web of data into a digital footprint,” John said.

During his DairyTech session, John will speak to the challenges dairy businesses face today, including operating under ESG guidelines, capturing data throughout the entire value chain to document and support operation practices, and adopting digitization in a sustainable way for the company and stakeholders.
